In Ecuador we don't usually use the word adios to say goodbye.  It is a term that comes with a sense of permanance.

Here we usually say Chau (bye) or hasta luego (until later).

Adios literally means "to God"

And yesterday Dustan's family said "Adios" to his grandfather, a man who lived 93 years and who loved God.

Adios Grandpa.  And Hasta Luego.
